about

Linda Immediato is a Los Angeles-based journalist, editor, and stylist. She has spent the last two decades covering every facet of life in her adopted hometown.

Born and raised in New York, Linda came to Los Angeles from Condé Nast’s Gourmet magazine in 2004, landing first at the LA Weekly as Senior Lifestyle Editor, covering culture, fashion, nightlife, and local news. She was a founding member of the publication’s award-winning (and somewhat notorious) fashion and nightlife blog, The Style Council. Also at the Weekly, Linda had the honor and pleasure of editing the late Pulitzer Prize-winning food critic, the immortal Jonathan Gold.

From there, Linda took on the role as Deputy Editor of Angeleno magazine, and in 2009, she took the helm at Pasadena magazine, as Editor-in-Chief.

In 2011, Linda joined Los Angeles magazine as Style Editor, where she remained until 2021. She covered fashion and lifestyle trends, the latest must-have products, and interviewed L.A.’s most fascinating trendsetters and trailblazers. She styled more than 50 photoshoots including celebrity, high-end fashion, and cover shoots, working alongside some of the world’s most renown photographers, and shooting on location at some of L.A.’s most iconic places.

For a decade, Linda was an authority on L.A. fashion, named one of the West Coast’s most influential stylists by the Daily Front Row. She made numerous television appearances as a fashion and lifestyle expert, including segments on KCAL Morning Show, KTLA Morning News, and KCET’s Unzipped. She has also been quoted as an expert in several print publications including the New York Post.

Linda is a published book author. Her work appears in a collection of essays inspired by the works of Joan Didion, entitled “Slouching Towards Los Angeles.” Published in 2020, the book is available at bookstores nationwide and online at Amazon.

Currently, Linda is a contributing writer and Editor-at-Large of Beverly Hills Courier STYLE magazine, where she has been shaping the publication’s award-winning editorial content since 2021. Last year, Linda was nominated for a L.A. Press Club award for her profile of Nicholas Kontaxis, a non-verbal young artist who has the art world speechless.

This site represents just a sample of Linda’s work. The stories and photoshoots collected here were chosen because they are “evergreen.” Timeless in some way. Some pieces are a snapshot of a Los Angeles that no longer exists, some photoshoots feature a celeb from a hot TV show you once loved, but has long been off the air.

As more earlier work is unearthed from the far reaches of the web and far corners of the attic, they will be added to the site. New work will be uploaded upon publication.
